Working with children who have special needs can be very challenging. Some of the teachers I worked with told me about a cassette tape they had that would play a 'random' sound. The teacher would then apply points of some kind if the class/students were on-task. I decided to make a program that could do the same thing but have a truly 'random' alert that would serve the same purpose of managing classroom behavior.

    This is the first version of the Beeper. This program can be used to:

1. Help with classroom behavior management
2. Remind the teacher of a regularly occurring event

    Features:

•   Ability to set alarms for specific time periods (every 30 seconds, 5 minutes, etc.)
•   Ability to set alarms for random time periods (4 random sounds in 30 minutes)
•   User can choose sounds that come standard with the computer or some sample sounds that come bundled with the program
•   Program uses standard WAV format to play sounds, so ANY sound can be used, even one you have recorded yourself
