After having difficulty with my HP zt1290 that couldn't be repaired, I decided to get yet another laptop. I decided on the Compaq Presario x1000. It seemed to have some great features for the price. I upgraded the RAM, kept the Radeon 9200 graphics card with 64 Mb of DDR Ram, and upgraded the hard drive to their 5400 RPM 60 GB version.
